§ 2-2-67. Investigator for district attorney.

  • The district attorney of the Flint Judicial Circuit shall be authorized to employ an investigator for the Flint Judicial Circuit. It shall be within the full power and authority of the district attorney during his term of office to designate the person who shall be employed as the investigator, to prescribe his duties and assignments, and to remove or replace such investigator at will and within his sole discretion. The investigator shall have the same power to make arrests, to execute and return all criminal warrants and processes, to serve as a peace officer, and to perform such duties as may be performed by the sheriff. The salary and any expense allowance of the investigator shall be set by agreement of the governing authorities of all the counties comprising the Flint Judicial Circuit.
