Article V. DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY |
§ 2-2-113. Purpose.
This act [article] is enacted and the Authority is created for the purpose of promoting and expanding for the public good and welfare industry and trade within Henry County and reducing unemployment to the greatest extent possible, and the provisions of this act [article] shall be liberally construed for the accomplishment of these purposes. The authority, in performing any of the public activities herein and in the constitutional amendment permitted, is declared to be performing an essential governmental function.
