§ 3-12-20. Violations; penalties.

  • (a)

    Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof or upon entering a plea of guilty or nolo contendere thereto, shall be punished by a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500.00) or by imprisonment for a term of not more than sixty (60) days, or by both fine and imprisonment.

    (b)

    Each day a violation is committed or permitted to continue, shall constitute a new and separate offense for which the person may be punished as provided above.

    (c)

    Any violation of this Code section shall also be considered a public nuisance and the person in violation may be prosecuted therefore under any section of this Code or other law of the state. It is the intent that such remedy be cumulative in nature.
