§ 3-4-56. Restrictions on permitting vicious or dangerous dogs outside of a proper enclosure.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for an owner of a classified dog to permit the dog to be outside a proper enclosure unless:

    (1)

    The dog is muzzled. The muzzle shall be made in a manner that will prevent the dog from biting any person but not cause injury to the dog nor interfere with its vision or respiration.

    (2)

    The dog is restrained by a leash not to exceed six (6) feet in length and is under the immediate physical control of a person capable of preventing the dog from engaging any other human or animal when necessary.

    (3)

    The dog is contained in a closed and locked cage or crate.

    (4)

    Unattended with minors.
