§ 3-4-103. Authority of fire chief to cut electric wires.

  • If no utility company is available on the scene of a fire, the chief of the fire department, or other person acting under his authority, is hereby authorized to cut any electric wire which is safe and necessary on the occurrence of any fire, without expense to the county for so doing; provided that nothing herein contained shall imply that the county authorizes any person to undertake the risk of cutting any such wires or renders itself liable for any injury to the person doing so.
