§ 3-4-501. Standards for installation and alteration of alarm systems.

  • The installation and alteration of alarm systems shall be in accordance with Article 760 "Fire Protective Signaling Systems" of the National Electrical Code, NFPA #70-1975 and the following NFPA standards:

    (1)

    Standard 71—Standard for the installation, maintenance, and use of central station signaling systems.

    (2)

    Standard 72-B—Standard for the installation, maintenance, and use of auxiliary protective signaling systems for fire alarm service.

    (3)

    Standard 72-C—Standard for the installation, maintenance, and use of remote station protective signaling system.

    (4)

    Standard 72-D—Standard for the installation, maintenance, and use of remote station protective signaling systems for watchman, fire alarm, and supervisory service.

    (5)

    Standard 72-E—Standard on automatic fire detectors.

    (6)

    Standard 74—Standard for the installation, maintenance, and use of household fire warning equipment.
