§ 2-2-35. Disposal of obsolete equipment.

  • The board of commissioners shall have the power to declare any equipment belonging to the county which is no longer feasible to have maintained or repaired as a trade-in additional equipment, or if no trade can be obtained, said equipment shall be declared as "junked" and action of same shall be spread upon the minutes of the board of commissioners. Any equipment not traded or junked shall be sold at public auction, after advertisement, at a time and place as may be set forth by the commissioners. All proceeds realized from such sales shall be deposited into the county treasury.
