§ 2-2-36. Authority to furnish transportation to county officers and employees and reimburse for certain expenses.

  • The board of commissioners is authorized to furnish transportation to county officials and employees while conducting official county business, and the board of commissioners may, by resolution, establish a mode and means of providing such transportation. The board of commissioners is further authorized to reimburse county officials and authorized county employees, for expenses incurred in attending short courses, seminars, conferences and any other meeting which may benefit Henry County, such reimbursement to include cost of meals, lodging, transportation, and payment of registration fees. Each such request for reimbursement must be in writing, with documentation receipts attached for each item, from the department head for which department such expenses were incurred and shall be approved by the chairman of the board of commissioners before reimbursement is made.
