§ 2-2-51. County manager.

  • There is created in Henry County, the position of county manager. The county manager shall be appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the board. No person shall be chosen as county manager before he shall have attained his/her twenty-first birthday. Such person shall be of good character and of proven executive ability and experience. The county manager shall be chosen by the board of commissioners solely on the basis of his/her executive and administrative qualifications with special reference to such person's actual experience in or knowledge of accepted practice with respect to the duties of the office as may be prescribed by the board of commissioners by way of job description, contractual agreement or both.
