§ 3-3-121. Compliance with article required.

  • (a)

    All persons, before beginning the business of operating a pawnshop, shall first file an application with the county licenses and permits office and receive a license to conduct such business.

    (b)

    All persons already engaging in such business prior to the effective date of this article shall file an application in accordance with the terms of this article at the expiration of their current business license. If the board of commissioners shall determine any such application filed should be denied, the applicant may continue to operate his business for a period of thirty (30) days following the date the application is denied. At all times during which such applicant continues to operate his business, he shall be subject to the regulatory provisions of this article.
