§ 3-13-21. Annual budget; authority to solicit and receive fees, revenues and gifts.

  • The county recreation commission shall advise and assist the county administrator in developing an annual budget for the recreation program. The commission shall also be authorized to receive fees and revenues from the operation of recreation facilities and programs and may solicit or receive gifts of money or personal property to be used for recreational purposes. All money so collected shall be promptly paid into the county treasury and may be set aside for recreational use only within the expenditure constraints of the county budget. The county administrator shall provide monthly to the chairman of the commission or to the head of the recreation department, a financial report showing all funds expended and the balance of all funds available for recreation purposes.
